Corrie graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2004 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2006 she earned her Master of Social Work degree from University of South Carolina. The majority of Corrie's 14 year post-graduate experience has been in the community mental health setting as a school based counselor and crisis counselor for children and adults. Corrie started working with Brighter Horizons Counseling in 2019. Corrie has worked with every age but most enjoys working with teens and young adults coping with depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma related issues, family issues, relationship issues, school issues, life transitions, boundary setting and issues of self-esteem. Her preferred treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, motivational interviewing, strength-based and some components of dialectical behavioral therapy. In her spare time, Corrie enjoys cheering for the Carolina Gamecocks, going to the beach, eating out at restaurants, having bonfires, playing video games, making quilts and doing other assorted crafts. Linda move to Myrtle Beach in April of 2020 and started working with Brighter Horizons around that time. Since earning a Master of Social Work degree from University of South Carolina in 1999, her 22 years of post graduate experience has been in an inpatient psychiatric setting, outpatient addictions, EAP and private practice setting. Linda enjoys working with ages 10 years-old and older in helping to treat mood disorders, anxiety, grief/loss, life transitions and women's issues. Her preferred treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and supportive psychotherapy. In her spare time, Linda loves to spent time with her animals (3 dogs and 2 cats), walking on the beach, horseback riding, traveling, reading and spending time with her 6 year-old granddaughter. In 1995 Katrina received both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Community Counseling with an Advanced Certificate of Specialization in Mental Health from St. Bonaventure University. Katrina has over 20 years of mental health experience working with patients in outpatient, inpatient, and community based residential services. Some of the companies that she has worked for include: Federation Employment and Guidance Services (FEGS) in New York; The Jewish Board of Family and Children Services (JBFCS) in New York; Institute for Community Living (ICL) in New York; and The South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH) in South Carolina. When working with a client Katrina is primarily focused toward a strength-based, person-centered approach. She enjoys working with patients age 10 and up in helping to treat symptoms related to depression, grief/bereavement, low self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, mental health issues, addiction, medical ailments and relationship issues. She is also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). She attended The University of Alaska Fairbanks receiving her bachelor degree in psychology and her Masters degree in Counselor Education from University of Nevada Las Vegas. After graduation she earned her Licensed Professional Counselor license from the state of Arizona in 2017. Ashley relocated to the Rock Hill, SC area in 2020 and is also licensed in South Carolina. She currently works with adults addressing concerns such as chronic stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women's issues, substance abuse and trauma utilizing solution focused brief therapy. In her free time she enjoys gardening, baking, spending time with family, playing with her dogs and traveling.
